Beginner Pottery: Two-Night Wheel Experience

Transform a lump of clay into a handmade ceramic vessel in this two-session beginner pottery class. Night 1 focuses on throwing a vessel on the pottery wheel, beginning with a studio tour and an introduction to basic wheel-throwing techniques. After the first session, staff will trim, fire, and glaze the pieces in preparation for the next class. On Night 2, students personalize the glazing on their own vessel, exploring decorating techniques to add individual style. Following a final firing, completed pottery will be ready for pickup within two weeks of the second class.

Please Note: This is a two-part class on Monday, October 19th and October 26th; students must plan to attend both sessions.

Beginner Pottery: Date Night at the Wheel

Spend a creative evening together in this two-hour beginner pottery class in Rochester! Couples will learn the basics of wheel throwing, with each participant shaping a vessel such as a cup, bowl, or trinket dish. The experience offers a playful introduction to working with clay while making memories together. Finished pieces will be glazed by the studio in a color selected from six options and ready for pickup within two weeks. No previous pottery experience is necessary.

Please Note: This class is priced per couple and includes two participants. Please bring a change of clothes, as working with clay can get messy.
